Scott Shultz, Pres./CEO Scent Blocker, joins Jeff on a west Texas deer hunt, PART 1

Early December I met up with my new friend Scott Shultz, Pres./CEO of Robinson Outdoors, also known as Scent Blocker) for a west Texas whitetail hunt with Texas Outfitters Ltd (www.texasoutfittersltd.com). After picking up Scott from the San Antonio airport, we headed west about three hours to meet up with Nick Burrell who was in charge for the next few days. We got settled in and were able to run over to the rifle range to make sure our rifles were still on target. After shooting a round or two we were off to the deer pasture. Nick went with Scott and I went to another location to do some scouting.

After scouting a new area the next morning, I spotted a super wide 10 point hanging out with a doe. When Nick and Scott came to come get me after the morning hunt, I told them what I had saw and we put a plan together for the evening hunt. IT WORKED!! The wide buck made another appearance and Scott let him have it, BOOM!, perfect shot. The buck ended up having a 22 6/8" inside spread and had a gross score of 140 B&C.
